Quote by plumerisThank you for your
suggestions. I don't think you're being over critical =]
Anyways, I'm not using Paint Shop Pro. Image is scanned with my scanner software
at 600dpi and then optimized in Photoshop 7 using the Save for Web function to
reduce file size. Therefore, DPI is changed from 600 to 72.
ok: good you have PS -i was going to ask. "Save to the Web" is more
for say resizing a wallpaper before submission or adjusting [increasing] a
vector in illustrator. the dpi or ppi should always remain fixed. if you scan at
600 ppi- the end result should be 600ppi.
d[ots]pi- refers to print media, whereas p[ixels]pi refers to computer display.
here's how i scan: can directly into PS. don't use the scanning software.
first be sure to set up PS to IMPORT . PS
is ideal for adjusting images etc. STEP 1 STEP 2
after scanning: close out
Your gallery is amazing! I reallly like Kumiko hayashida pics... i don't know

then crop: STEP 3
now, instead use "IMAGE SIZE" to resize. Hit "CTRL-ALT-I". STEP 4 STEP 5
finally save: [CTRL-SHIFT-S]
STEP 6
STEP 7
i scanned an interesting article about resolutions from Photoshop Creative:
1 2 3 4 5 6
